Salvation
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
What do we need to be saved from?- an enemy not of this world, in the spiritual realm
We became part of the kingdom of darkness, lost sight of what we had in the garden
God is always there, with legions of angels
Isa 59:19
(19) So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
God is a God of salvation, not punishment. He did not create hell for man, but created it for the angels
There is a world that is suffering, many that are of a broken heart, needing Jesus.
We need a God of salvation.
Those who are born again, are saved - God in the redemption process has decided that He is going to heal you from the affect of the kingdom of darkness- (Saved=Sozo- to heal and deliver)
Provide a testimony to yourself, relatives,
Talk about the beginning of God’s work in us to heal.
Are there areas of my life that I need to submit to God? Do I need God to go into areas of my life to clean up? He is not out to condemn us but to save us.
We are the head and not the tale.
He heals.
You are the God of my salvation- You are my healer. Without You I do not exist, because my enemies will do everything they want to to enslave me (we do not fight flesh and blood, but principalities and powers).
We take an easy message that we go right into heaven
To be saved is to stop the destructive force of the kingdom of darkness in our lives,
You are the God of my salvation; in You I will trust, You are the one Who will save me.
Count it all joy when you enter into temptation- James knew God’s salvation
Peter had an unspeakable joy… only available as God being our Savior- sent His only begotten Son not to condemn but to save.
In all the trials, God the Savior will express Himself, through it all we will get to know Him more and more,
When God took Israel out of Egypt, the first thing He had to do was bring them in the desert to show them that He is the God of salvation.
God will see to it- Jehovah Jirah- God is my salvation.
He wants to reveal Himself to you. All our trust will be that God will save you. What the devil meant for evil, God will save you, though you may have to go through the trials.
MY GOD IS SALVATION!- God’s answer to Paul’s prayer to remove the trial= God is enough.
Whatever my trial is God will give me grace to go through it.
God so loved us that He sent His Son Jesus- by His stripes we are healed.
God is looking for me to work out my salvation with fear and trembling.
1Sa 2:1-2
(1) And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.
(2) There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
My heart rejoices in the Lord because I rejoice in thy salvation.
Mine horn is exalted in the LORD, because I rejoice in thy salvation.
My mouth is enlarged over mine enemies, because I rejoice in thy salvation.
2Sa 22:3-4
(3) The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
(4) I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
2Sa 22:47 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.
That we may pray, “God, I need a savior, save me from the power of this thing (struggle, sin) in my life.”
We need to know that every day every hour of our lives, we are safe.
It gives us liberty, salvation to His righteous children.
Salvation means:
Deliverance- rescue
Prosperity
Shalom
Sees to it
Banner
Healer
Health- living healthy lives
Redeemer
Horn- something you anchor something to
Rock- foundation
High Tower- safe place
God is my victory- Jesus is head of the armies, brings me into victory
Help- aid
Did you choose Me or did you not choose Me?

Psa 138:7-8
(7) Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
(8) The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

Psa 138:7-8

(17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(18) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
(19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Introduction to the Sermon Chat blog
This blog is created to develop a dialogue on Sunday’s sermons so that we may absorb and apply to our lives the message that God is speaking to us at Spirit of Fire. Each week I will submit my notes that I take during the sermon as well as combining them with those handed out on Sundays. Because I am writing my notes, they will be subjective. If there are any corrections or additions that you care to add, please present them in the comments. I am hoping this will develop into a useful tool to help us build spiritually and keep our focus throughout the week. Please share any thoughts, revelations, questionings, or ways that the teachings are applied or affecting your life during the week. Be aware that this blog will be read by others, so only post what you want others to see. No restrictions (that I can think of at this moment) except please keep to the subject and do not ramble far from the original topic of the sermon. I imagine as we develop this dialogue that it will refine itself to be most useful to us. Your comments will make it come alive. Please participate. It might be useful to check this blog at the time you daily check your e-mail, as a way of keeping the message in your heart throughout the week.
I wrote the following summary of a way to absorb the sermon and make it relevant to our lives and offer it here for whatever way it is useful to you. You may use it or not. Just some ideas:
What did the sermon (or the page) say to me?
What are some of the main points?
How do I apply it to my life?
What part am I going to hide in my heart today?
What would I title it?
What scriptures do I remember?
May God bless and form this blog into a tool to be used most effectively for His glory!
