Preaching the Gospel

Mat 9:35-38
(35) And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
(36) But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
(37) Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
(38) Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Joh 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

When the harvest is ready, pick it.
We want people in the Kingdom of God, not a cult. The devil doesn’t sleep and we need to be busy.

Share the full Gospel.

Mat 10:7-10
(7) And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
(8) Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
(9) Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
(10) Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

Mat 10:16
(16) Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

The Kingdom message is power.

Mar 1:15
(15) And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Mar 1:21-27
(21) And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.
(22) And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
(23) And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
(24) Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
(25) And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.
(26) And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.
(27) And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

To preach this message, you need to know that you know your authority.
God will protect us, we need to speak with authority. We have giant angels and will take care of all the other distractions. Preach.

Mar 5:27-34
(27) When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
(28) For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
(29) And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
(30) And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
(31) And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
(32) And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
(33) But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
(34) And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Through the cross you are healed, poverty must go.
Salvation has been prepared for everyone 2000 yrs ago, but they just needed to reach in a grab it.

Mar 10:46-52
(46) And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
(47) And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
(48) And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
(49) And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
(50) And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
(51) And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
(52) And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy
faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

The blind man put a demand on the Kingdom.
Kingdom is there. Put a demand on the Kingdom.

Mar 11:13-14
(13) And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
(14) And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Mar 11:20-24
(20) And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
(21) And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
(22) And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
(23) For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
(24) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

When Jesus spoke to the fig tree, He cursed it. It didn’t look cursed. The moment the curse happened it was gone. God’s Word always produces what the Word says. It may take awhile before it’s result is seen.

Mar 11:25-26
(25) And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
(26) But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

You can hinder your miracle by unforgiveness.

Look at all trials in our lives as Abraham,
- everything is being threatened
- God threatens even more, and He does it so that we would go back to God

When you are in the fear of the Lord you are able to enter into His secret…

"I know every tear drop"- something spurred inside Abraham, His trust needs to go back to God.

I lay everything… including everything I fear to lose, so that I can receive from God so much more.

Isaac was carrying the firewood. He knew to offer God a sacrifice. He told Abraham he forgot to carry the lamb. " Jehovah will see to it." was the answer.

Jesus said, "Come to the waters, I know you are thirsty. You won’t be denied.

Isaac laid down his life for the offering at that point.
We need to see Abraham and Isaac’s faith. It is better to sacrifice everything to God and give it to Him, Including the things that we go through. The things we are threatened by. Offer it to the Lord as a living sacrifice.

Come to the waters. I know you are thirsty, you won’t be denied.
All of a sudden God intervenes. There is a trade. God provided a substitute. Abraham and Isaac… substitute. There is a promise. You won’t be denied.
When everything goes wrong, say I won’t be denied. There is going to be a substitution.

In the substitution, Abraham received a covenant of sons and daughters.

Jesus says, "Come to the waters. I know you are thirsty. I know every teardrop you cried. You will not be denied."

God wants you to offer it up to Him. He is a miracle working God, to the point of providing things that aren’t even there. He will see to it. I won’t be denied. He knows I am thirsty. Be willing to sacrifice your worries, concerns, anger… It is a hard place to be, especially if you are the one who is carrying the sticks (as Isaac was).

Ps 25:14
The secret
(Heb. :to sit down with, to be an audience) (of the sweet, satisfying companionship) of the Lord (we have the ability to sit in the sweet satisfying companionship of the Lord) have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its (deep, inner) meaning.

Consider the value of this scripture of your life.
David had awesome fear of God. We need to approach life this way. Who do you think you are, you uncircumcised Philistine?
Awe God.
Reverence Him.
Put Him in His position on the throne of your life.

Sit in His Presence. Let Him reveal His promises. Awe God.
God provides. Don’t you want to know the secret of that?

Sometimes the pain, the situations, in your life is the firewood from which God can make the substitute promise.
The only thing is God has to have the firewood to make that substitute sacrifice.

Burn this offering to You on my firewood- that is what firewood is- burned up, junk- here Lord, burn your offering on my stuff.

Fear of the Lord:
Respect, God says in His Word that He chastises those He loves.
Without fear of the Lord, we become corrupt.

Homage:
Reverence,
Worship,
Humbly honor esteem through praise
(You are my Creator, I humbly praise that everything you made was made for me, How great you are! I look at all You made, Your power is without end, You are Who You Are- IAM THAT I AM! My mind can’t even conceive or fathom your greatness! The number of times in pulling me out of the fire… Your loving kindness is forever! Your ways are way beyond my ways- I praise the way You love, by unconditional love… )

Tribute: To recognize the superiority of God, Give God tribute through the greatness of Who He is, To give offerings and tithes- it has nothing to do with the Law, has to do with homage, tribute. In Malachai it says "How have we robbed You?" "Through tithes and offerings"; Abraham gave Melchizidec tribute and received blessings. Tribute- to give offerings and tithes with a willing heart.

Devil is out to steal, kill, and destroy. Have you given homage in all aspects of your life? Deuteronomy says "You shall love God with all your heart, mind, and your strength."

The fear of God is based on a concept of love. Not in being scared and running away to hide from God.

It is a fear of awe, respect, faithfulness to serve God.

Are we going to serve God? To fear God is to hate anything that is not of God.
From the time we were born until the time that we die is to walk toward the Light. From the time that we made a decision for God, we are to walk toward the Light.

Each time that we walk toward God, we will increase the fear of the Lord. Every day as we walk toward righteousness we should hate evil. We need to be careful not to assume that we are fine with God… we are saved by grace. If we are saved, we are not to stay with the stuff the devil wants us to be in.

We need to live in that righteousness, to strive after the wisdom of God and His understanding and not our own. We cannot lean on our own understanding. We do not have it.
When we don’t live in righteousness, we get robbed. Many things that we put our hands to die. The devil doesn’t care.

As we walk toward God, we become more aware of His awesomeness. Become more sensitive to that which is of God and that which offends God. If God forgot you, you don’t exist. Hell is being forgotten of God. Hell is fire- fire consumes- hell consumes. One is destined to go there only because we chose to go there. God has to get rid of the trash- that which dishonored Him, worked against Him. If God is going to do a new thing, He has to get rid of trash so that He can do a new thing.

After salvation, He demands that we fear Him, serve Him, walk with Him

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Heb 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and
that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. AMP

Believe that God exists, Have faith in Him. He is greater than what we know about Him. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

How do you seek God? Consider the facets of a diamond- we see the wholeness. Do you seek God in healing? If you don’t know Him as a healer, have you sought God as a healer of relationships? Lover?
Power? The God of Prosperity? To seek God in those facets (as the facets of a diamond), is to begin to know Him and receive His benefits.

Diligently seeking Him… in the many facets.
Seek the Lord while He may be found. Don’t give money to a ministry as seed faith. Give to God. He is the One Who gives prosperity. Give as God has given you. What do you need? I Am That I Am. Need prosperity? I Am That I Am.

He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. You don’t know God enough, fear Him enough, awe Him enough. God wants to be present with you more than you want to be present with Him.

Diligently seek Him and in doing so, you will discover the rewards.
As you seek Him in the walk, your intimacy will increase in learning Who God is. Don’t think for one moment that you can live without Him.

1. Walk towards the Light… He is a rewarder…
2. Small careful steps will draw you closer to Him. It is a journey. As you go, you will fear Him more.

What facet do you need to seek God this week?
Even if you have been seeking God in that area for a lifetime, one day you will see it because He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

God does not reveal Himself without changing you. Moses sought God’s glory – one small facet of Him- he was a total glow, turn white.

The fear of God is not something you get instantly. As you seek the Lord, Who will be found, your awe of Him will increase as YOU seek Him. If you ask yourself the question, Where are you God? He will answer, " I have been here all along, have you sought Me, Have you sought the cross?"

You will see that He is the I AM THAT I AM!!!!

Sunday Service
5-23-10

It is necessary to return to the fear of the Lord. We are negligent in understanding it today. Whenever we depart from the fear of the Lord, our battle is lost.
The patriarchs did awesome things because they had faith from the fear of the Lord.
We need to have an awe of God.
We need to see God
Awe God
Have reverence for God
Worship and be Devoted to God

Psa 2:11-12
(11) Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
(12) Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art- songs expressing the awe of God.

Quantum theory, as Einstein began to understand it, proclaimed that there is no way that we can claim there is no God.

We don’t have a fear of God anymore.
Don’t fear the giant before you, but look at the God behind you.
Incline our eyes on Him and expect to see an awesome God all the time.
We break His Laws because we don’t see Him in awe. The people who keep their eyes on God will see the miracles of God.
We compromise by taking our eyes off God. When someone comes up to you and says "I have a disease", don’t think of yourself. Think of God Who is able to take care of it.

'
If the world feared the Lord, we would be living in a different world.
God is God and you don’t fool with Him.
Our God is an awesome God – He has this wisdom, love, power

Heb 11:6 Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently search for him

Some of us acknowledge He exists, in the sense of knowing a place exists; a lot of us know about God, but we haven’t been seeking Him. We haven’t been there.

No one knows about electricity- we know it exists- but if we align ourselves with its rules, know how it works, it becomes a powerful tool for us.

We need to believe He exists. HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

It is a reward to diligently seek Him. God is to be awed.

The destroyer of revivals is when people seek the wonders instead of the Wonder.

We get faith by awing Him. We can only have faith by awing Him first. We are talking about saying, "The awesomeness of God is!"

Your faith is no good without God.
It is not the switch that works, it is the electricity that is connected to the switch.
If you want to get the Life, you need to get to the Life Giver- it is Him!

You don’t fool with electricity, You don’t fool with God! There IS an anecdote- the Blood of Jesus! You have to have the reverence for God. There will be no true awe, if you don’t seek Him.
Know the God of your Father!
HAVE PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE OF HIM! HE IS YOUR LIFE! You need to have personal, individual knowledge of God. What is your personal knowledge of GOD?

Do you have a personal knowledge of God?

.

Psa 119:10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments

2Ch 15:15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.

Jer 29:13
(13) And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Consider the illustration of the Buddha holding the man under water – "when you want God as much as your breath, then you will attain"

Until you want to seek that place, until you have a sense of pain of needing God too much, only then you will find that knowledge of God.

Mat 6:33-34
(33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
(34) Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Every day has it’s own stuff, but God is there.
------------------------------------------------------
If we have this fear and awe of God, we must obey him

OBEY
1Sa 15:22-23
(22) And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
(23) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

God will require of you to destroy everything that is not of God. Saul was told to destroy it all because it is going to affect you. We take little vacations from God.. the only way to get rid of it is to destroy the places that you go.

To obey is better than sacrifice. You must not reject the word of the Lord.

Consider the analogy of going to a job offer that you will get if you get there on time. By being careless, the tires wear out and you have to change the tire. You will get there (the blood of Jesus)

Obedience is to fear God, awe Him. It is a commitment. When Churchill showed up in England, there needed to be a commitment and it would cost. For England not to would mean it’s destruction.

Obedience mean you will have enough integrity to get back up
Make a commitment, meaning you will go through hell if need be, but do not slip from your integrity.

When you have a fear of God, nothing will let you slip from your commitment or your life with God. Those areas that you think make us weak, with a commitment that makes us strong.

We submit… work with God, because He is an awesome God.

Obedience takes commitment, follow through. It is the awesome God behind and in front of you that brings you to the point of success.

Exo 19:5-6
(5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
(6) And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children
of Israel. )

Even though we make a commitment it doesn’t mean it is going to be easy. We need to be loyal. It is not a matter of the act being achieved as it is the heart to want to.

By the time Gideon was done, there was only 300 people, dedicated, people of commitment to serve.

We need to make our commitment to God. Join the service and try to take the position away from the sergeant. We need that seriousness of commitment to God.

We need to look at the awe of God. We need to see God.

Those who know their God shall prove themselves strong, stand firm, and do exploits.

When we know God is so awesome, there isn’t anything that you can’t face because God is greater. When Joshua was at Jericho, the Hebrews didn’t know how to fight, but knew the God Who parted the Red Sea.

Sometimes we are in the position of seeing the enemies as giants and ourselves as grasshoppers because we forget how awesome God is.
God keeps His promises.

When Abraham went to sacrifice Isaac, he told Abraham He will "see to it" when Isaac asked where the offering is.
We have forgotten to fear the Lord. The Church needs to return to the fear of God. God is demanding that His Church awe Him, fear Him. We perish because we don’t recognize Who God is, the great Creator.

We are fearfully made, must never consider ourselves low.
God is awesome- everything and everywhere. When we are aware of that we can face anything.

God provided food, water, and led the Israelites in the desert. If He did that then, He will do it now. He doesn’t care about what the economy is doing. HE is the Provider.

Faith is in God and what He promises.

You cannot look at your circumstances- when you make them greater than God Himself you are giving them extreme extravagant devotion – worship.

God knows it is important to keep our eyes on Him. When we look away, even for a second, we worship other things.
Daniel, the 3 Hebrew children, would not take their eyes away from God.
Jesus asked Philip how to feed the multitude- He knew the Father knew they needed to eat- Jesus awes His Father by blessing the loaves and fish (Thank You, Father, for providing the loaves and fish. They are sufficient). He knew God was the supplier.

We need to honor God. We need to keep our lives ordered according to the Word of God. We are not doing it because we have lost the awe of God.

Come to Church to be in His Presence, to worship Him, to awe Him, not just for good songs and fellowship.

Our lives should be ordered as well as a soldier’s belongings. We are in warfare. We must not run as cowards. We are about to face an anti-Christ. We will not be able to stand, see our destiny and purpose, unless we fear the Lord. When the Israelites saw the awesomeness of God, they were able to conquer the enemies.

The first teaching to give a new Christian is how to awe God first.

  • Awe and Fear of God
  • God is to be awed

  • to be reverenced

  • We must be submissive to Him-
like a child to a Father, delight in the Word because of Who He is
  • He must have our loyalty and faithfulness
  • Must be worshipped
  • Totally devoted

In the great awakening and revivals, there was an awe of God. When that returns, there will be another great awakening. The revivals died when they lost the AWE OF GOD.

In the Red River revival, the fear of God fell on that group because they decided to put everything aside and sought God.
We seek God. Fear of God is a choice, not something that just happens. God must be worshipped, not just for the length of the service.
We must desire what God wants us to hear. God will confound the wise with us foolish. God can show Himself strong through the weak.

Consider – do you still believe in God AFTER you lose everything?

He commands total devotion.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO STUDY THE VERSES THOROUGHLY:

Deut6:5-7
5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
KJV

Deut 6:7
7 You shall whet and sharpen them so as to make them penetrate, and teach and impress them diligently upon the [minds and] hearts of your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up.
AMP

You must make God’s Word sharp enough to impress them into the child’s minds and hearts. Your children should remember the conversations of the ways of the Word.

Prov 3:5-8
5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding
.
6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
7 Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. [Prov 8:13.]
8 It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones.
AMP

The Hebrews went through the desert to learn how to rely on God.
As a sheep before its shearers is dumb, so opened He not His mouth.
We need to submit in that way so the Lord can turn us into what we need to be, to be led, to be used by God.

Heb 11:6-12
6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].
7 [Prompted] by faith Noah, being forewarned by God concerning events of which as yet there was no visible sign, took heed and diligently and reverently constructed and prepared an ark for the deliverance of his own family. By this [his faith which relied on God] he passed judgment and sentence on the world's unbelief and became an heir and possessor of righteousness (q that relation of being right into which God puts the person who has faith). [Gen 6:13-22.]
8 [Urged on] by faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went forth to a place which he was destined to receive as an inheritance; and he went, although he did not know or trouble his mind about where he was to go.
9 [Prompted] by faith he dwelt as a temporary resident in the land which was designated in the promise [of God, though he was like a stranger] in a strange country, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs with him of the same promise. [Gen 12:1-8.]
10 For he was [waiting expectantly and confidently] looking forward to the city which has fixed and firm foundations, whose Architect and Builder is God.
11 Because of faith also Sarah herself received physical power to conceive a child, even when she was long past the age for it, because she considered [God] Who had given her the promise to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His word. [Gen 17:19; 18:11-14; 21:2.]
12 So from one man, though he was physically as good as dead, there have sprung descendants whose number is as the stars of heaven and as countless as the innumerable sands on the seashore. [Gen 15:5,6; 22:17; 32:12.]
AMP

Heb 11:6-12
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him:

The Creator of all, the One Who made me to serve Him- it is impossible to please Him without faith.

for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

God gave directions for Him to be saved.

8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

Not knowing, but obedience

9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
God has a place for all of us.
11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
Out of dead bodies came enough births as the stars.

John 3:18-19
18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation — he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ's name.]
19 The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil. [Isa 5:20.]
