Psa 119:18-20
(18) Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
(19) I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
(20) My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.

It is time Christianity stands up and shows the world the true Kingdom.
Our job is to bring forth the Kingdom of God.
Torah- beyond human bounds.
Show me things beyond human bounds- the wisdom that invents, brings peace, healing, deliverance, and order.
We don’t know the truth-
The Word of God needs to be meditated.

that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law
There are answers to every situation in our lives. The answer is in the Word.
The Sword is the Word of God- Shield is faith. We need to take the Word and strike the enemy.

To be a good soldier you need to prepare- we need to know the art of war. Joshua was told to prepare for war.

Jos 18:3
(3) And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?

Nothing in the world can stop you.
We need to do battle for our children, families, community, and even for ourselves.

We don’t study the Word of God. We don’t know where we stand. We are so vague. When we walk into a building…

Dan 11:32b
The people who know their God shall prove themselves strong, and stand firm, and do exploits.

READ
Eph 2

Eph 2:1-7
(1) And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
(2) Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
(3) Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
(4) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
(5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
(6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
(7) That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Paul reveals that we are very aware of the world- more than we are conscious of the Kingdom of God. It is for that reason that it is important to meditate day and night.

There are devils working. We need to know how to conquer them.
We need to know the Word of God and that there is a world out there that we have absorbed ourselves in.

Disobedience- we are disobedient to God’s Word because we don’t even know what to obey.

Flesh-

God has saved your spirit

We are aware of our flesh, the world
Our job is to restore the Kingdom of God here on earth. Go first to Jerusalem, Samaria, and all the parts of the world-to restore the Kingdom of the world.

Our job is to bring the Kingdom of God-
There are 2 things going on-
the warring of the soul and spirit- the old nature has a hard time
Our soul has been saved by Jesus, a free gift. We are saved but there is more.
We are as those who return to Egypt, to the world, sin, serving demons. Why go back to drugs, alcohol, poverty, when we have been set free?

Deu 15:15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

Exo 20:2
(2) I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Saved- your spirit is so free that you don’t have to do a thing. Doing good has nothing to do with a thing.

To be redeemed- to be taken out of the marketplace- you are not to be sold to slavery. God has taken you out of the market. We belong to Him.

We cannot sell ourselves.

Our efforts is to put on the whole amour, possess the land,

We are free, saved, no longer a slave.
Why are we fearful? Demons tells us what to do and we jump. Some of us are in disobedience and rebellion against God. Some are just walking this world and trying to see what is pleasure.
Don’t try working to save your soul, but you need to try working to possess the land.

Jesus came to save you because He loves you. It is time to remove ourselves from sin, to posses the land.

Jos 1:7-9
(7) Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
(8) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
(9) Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

The devil is trying to steal my freedom from me. I am free, but I have never seen it.
We can take our lives and our country back.

Until we set ourselves free from disobedience and pleasures of the flesh, we will not be aware of our freedom.

Take care of self (home, Jerusalem), Samaria (family), and the uttermost part of the world.

Having a successful Christian life just doesn’t happen. We become lazy as Christians in the latter days.

1. Don’t sell your soul. (Gideon’s people went to other gods and landed in bondage)
Do we let our enemy take what belongs to us?
Gideon and his people had to hide. We are in the days of people hiding.

It is GOD Who will take you out of those things that trouble you right now. ONLY GOD WILL TAKE YOU OUT.
“It is I Who will take you out of Egypt.”

When Israel was taken out of Egypt , they had to battle.
Do you battle to protect what God has given youj… Your soul?... Your heart?.... Your family? ….Your community?

The battle is violent.

Preparing for battle-
We learn to be a team. Christ is head of the host, the head of the armies. Sometimes God calls all people together regardless of the denominations.
We need spiritual people who are willing to take the battle by force, serious spiritual warfare, serious prayer.

After the demolition from the war is cleaned up, we need to keep the peace.
Has the Church learned to keep the peace spiritually?

Jos 1:8-9
(8) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous
(prosperity comes from meditating in the Word) , and then thou shalt have good success (it will take someone who is willing to pray in those things that he has a dream for).
(9) Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

The book of the Law- in those days they had the Bible orally- they had to memorize the 5 books of Moses. They had to speak it over and over again. It needs to be read.

Don’t let this book depart from your mouth= don’t go anywhere without the Word of God. In modern days, it should say “This book of the Law should not depart from your eyes.”

Do you know what belongs to you in salvation? How can you protect what belongs to you if you don’t know what it is?

- authority
- the power to receive the Holy Spirit with power

“but thou shalt meditate therein day and night”
meditate- “to chew the cud,” - chew and swallow and rechew and swallow and break it down so much that it is able to be assimilated in body

The Word
1. Keep it before your eyes
2. assimilate it

Jesus is the Word, the Bread of Life, our Manna- gives us life
The soil takes in the seed, the seed begins to grow- how? We don’t know.

Example of Meditation:
Psa 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

“They that seek the Lord”- always looking for His Presence. Look at what it means to seek.
How do I seek the Lord? Am I seeking the Lord on a daily basis? Am I seeking the Lord in all things?
Every good thing will be there when we need it.

To meditate:
see the word
chew
swallow
chew
swallow
etc.
until you assimilate it (make it part of your life)

You need to understand why the Law is there and what you received in redemption

Meditating on the Word of God:

1. Read it (see it)
2. Write it (feel yourself writing those Words) (Jews consider each letter a breath of God, the spaces as the “smoke” of God)
3. Read it to yourself out loud (hearing, speaking)
4. Doing- observe to do (hands on- watch yourself doing it)

We need to put all things out of the way. We need to do the Word.
God’s Word has power.

The devil will try to choke – steal- bring doubt. Keep your heart full of God’s gracious power. The spark of life is in the Word.

Boot camp starts by learning a whole different way of living. It will take someone aware of the ways of the devil. It is good, but you need to know what you have.

Everything you want will be based on those things.

Centering Prayer
Sometimes meditation is in the form of going before the Lord, getting your mind out of the way, and just bringing your heart before God. Separate yourself so that all you are doing is getting into His Presence, just love Him. Feel each other’s Presence and enjoy Him… our walk in the garden… Mary sitting at Jesus’ feet… be interested in listening. Shut your mind out from your stuff, your business (the seed in the byway, too busy- our heads get too busy). “Be still (still- “Rapha” is a healing space)and know that I am God”. Don’t be concerned with your mind. Jesus says go in your prayer closet- Your wedding chamber- chamber of consummation with the Lord, communion, to come in union with, be all one with your Lover (Song of Solomon).
Be still before Him.
Don’t be upset if your mind pulls you away.
Get the word your are meditating on : Adonai, Lord, Jesus, Jesus prayer (Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on me a sinner) etc.- until you come back.
Don’t do more than 5 minutes at a time- doing more is doing works
Let God do the initiating and not you.

The origin of the word "alone" means "all one with God"
- Centering prayer

“The Way of the Pilgrim” is a book of meditation that refers to the Jesus prayer

The people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand strong and do exploits.
Dan 11:32b

Miracles happen when there is no other way for something to get a result. All things come from God.

All is based on God.
If you make your soul have no value, make it insignificant, you will go into slavery.
We find other ways than God and then the enemy attacks. In Egypt, God’s people were stolen from and put in slavery.
Until you recognize that it is God Who is in charge, we go in slavery. Give sin no mercy.
We need God’s wisdom, strength, leadership. All the source of life itself is from God.
You do not have free will- by free will you can do everything you desire without repercussions. We need Him all the time.
Don’t let the devil- the enemy -deceive you.

In boot camp, the troops learn how to be a team.
Jesus is Lord of the hosts, in charge of the army.
We all have gone our own way, strayed. We need the Good Shepherd to lead us.
2010- In God we depend.God is in charge. We will come together as a team under Him, His banner.
God is in charge- We are followers.
Life is going to change. In boot camp our life changes. Finding identity in the leadership is not good, unless our leader is God alone. He does not let us down.

--------------------------

Prepare for battle

We have no free will, only a choice to obey or not. Not to obey has serious consequences. If we are serious about our responsibility to the team, obedience is necessary, so our first task is to obey the set of orders. If Jesus is head of the army, He is responsible to accomplish those orders established before the foundation of the earth. Without following orders, court marshall and imprisonment results. There are no excuses. In religion, we make excuses and think we can get away with it. The Lord has prepared us with armor- feet shod with the Gospel of peace.

1. You need a set of orders
2. You must know them and be able to speak them. Know your Commander and what is expected of you.

You need to know God, your Commander in chief, your orders, and your purpose on this earth.
We have lost the fear of God. Fear of God is a good kind of fear. We need to fear the Lord of hosts, the Father of all creation, and follow His plan.
We are a team under the Lord our God and have a purpose. We need to have faith that God knows what He is doing.
In Heb 11, there is a hall of faith of those who have faith in God, not in money.

The people who know their God- Joshua was told, “Know ME”. Our job toward the enemy is to rob, kill, and destroy the gates of hell.
Our boot camp is to make the book of the Law not depart from our mouths, to be in it at all times. We are to meditate therein day and night. Meditation brings faith, peace, confidence that when we face our enemy we will win.

Meditate –
Ex.
MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL MY NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY.
Find the most important word: ALL
Find out who MY GOD is
SHALL SUPPLY
ALL my needs

An example of the results of meditation:
Psa 39:1-3
(1) I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
(2) I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.
(3) My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue,

Jos 1:8-9
(8) This book of the law
(set of orders)shall not depart out of thy mouth (must know them, enough about them to say and speak what those orders are) ; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night (meditate, contemplate) , that thou mayest observe to do according to all (not part, not some) that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (have good success- there are answers, always have solutions)

If you make excuses and say that you don’t have time to study the Word, you will reap what you choose.
God will help if you think the Bible is too large or difficult.
You will have what is necessary to make my way prosperous.
This country was founded on men who believed in God. The moment God was removed, the country went downhill.
We do not have free will. We have choice- “Choose you this day who you will serve. … I set before you blessing and cursing, life and death… choose life. “
With God all things are possible. It is the first instruction Joshua got from God. The prosperity of God is not given to lazy people, but to those who choose to do.

HOMEWORK:
Meditate on verse 8 (Josh 1:8)
The first instruction to prepare for battle is verse 8. God does not want us to fail. He wants us equipped so that we may make our way prosperous and have good success.
Set a goal. Follow the instruction, the orders. You will find God is faithful.
