When David said “God help”, he knew He would.
Dan 11:32
The people who know their God shall prove themselves strong, and stand firm, and do exploits.
We need an intimate relationship with God so that we can prove ourselves strong, and stand firm, and do exploits.
There are difficulties that will happen to us that we ask “Why?”. Perhaps it is so that God will see if we will stand firm.
DO YOU KNOW GOD TO THE POINT WHERE YOU WILL STAND STRONG? PROVE YOURSELF (FACE THE TRIALS)?
Jesus reached out and went to the possessed to deliver them. He did not stand apart and send the naked, the demon possessed away.
Jesus went out of His way to minister to the unlovely, not to separate Himself.
In the story of the Samaritan, the priests and Levites went out of their way to avoid him.
Do you know Who GOD is? If only you really knew Him, His Love…!!!
In Ecclesiastes, it says books will get you weary , the most important thing is to know (fear) God and follow His commandments.
Ecc 12:12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
We all need God all the time. We may find ourselves in a position that we have never been in before, but we must know that God has a purpose and we must trust Him in it.
The 3 men in the fire met Jesus. You may be in the fire, but to meet Jesus you must be willing not to bow.
Do not walk by sight, but by faith.
Jesus is in our heart, not outside ourselves. It is important to know Him.
Psa 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
David says this often.
The LORD is my rock- A ground of CONFIDENCE, David placed all his confidence on the Lord. Even though he had an opportunity to kill Saul, he didn’t because he had his confidence in God. Many times we have the opportunity to take things in our own hands, but rather than act in the flesh we need to have confidence in God. Times when people do evil to us, the answer is having confidence in Him.
David speaks of a ground of CONFIDENCE that canno be shaken. It is security, a boulder, bedrock.
Deu 32:3-4
(3) Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
(4) He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Mat 16:15-18
(15) He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
(16) And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
(17) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
(18) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
God did not build His Church on a man, but that God would build it on the Christ, the One Who died for us.
The foundation of true Christianity has not been shaken no matter how the world has tried to crush it.
We need to build upon the ROCK.
Build upon His Word- it is unshakeable. Instead we build upon the things we see in the world, according to our own logic.
Mat 17:24-27
(24) And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
(25) He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
(26) Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
(27) Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
You may have to go through some extreme tragedy or suffering. Are you going to fall? If you build upon the Rock, you won’t.
Ask yourself: How have you built your house lately? Have you built it on His Word or your own thinking? The way to find out is how you weather the storms. We continue to go from one storm to the other, and we continue to rebuild the house on the wrong foundation. The devil has people so fearful, he does not even have to say anything and they fear.
We can build a house on a foundation of bedrock. Instead of staying with the Word of God when storms come, we run to something less sturdy.
Meditate on the Word instead of what we look at. It does not mean that God will remove things that curse us. Sometimes it means that God will see it through.
Luk 6:47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
Luk 6:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
Luk 6:49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
You need to make a choice. If you are going to know God, you have to know His Word because His essence and His Word are the same.
God is a Spirit. We will not understand Him from a carnal point of view. He wants to know if we will be faithful to Him no matter what.
If you are going to go through the days of tribulation, will you have built your house on a foundation that will not be shaken?
Jesus talks about the situation when He mentions the virgins:
Mat 25:1-13
(1) Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
(2) And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
(3) They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
(4) But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
(5) While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
(6) And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
(7) Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
(8) And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
(9) But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
(10) And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
(11) Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
(12) But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
(13) Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Lay everything aside knowing that one day you are going to need it- the firm foundation.
Is your life going to be built on the trust of God? You have no idea of the tomorrow, next year. etc.
If you can really say “GOD IS MY ROCK”, you are unshakeable. All things are possible with God.
You need to base your life on the unshakeable God, He won’t ever leave you.
The LORD is my fortress
From the word meaning strong and to make strong
Paul said “In my weakness, You are made strong”.
Fortress- a stronghold that one cannot be intimidated, disheartened,
Read all of Ps 91
Psa 91:1-16
(1) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
(2) I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
(3) Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
(4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
(5) Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
(6) Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
(7) A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
(8) Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
(9) Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
(10) There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
(11) For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
(12) They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
(13) Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
(14) Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
(15) He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
(16) With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
2Co 12:9-10
(9) And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
(10) Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
The LORD is my deliverer
My escape, the One Who saves us from harm. In this world, but even more from eternal damnation.
2Th 3:3
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
Jud 1:24-25
(24) Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
(25) To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
Go Home and apply verse 2 for your own good.
Psa 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Ask yourself the question – Is God my Rock, Is He my Deliverer?
Talk to your stinking thinking and say, “THE WORD SAYS…”
Jesus said in the midst of the temptation in the desert- “THE WORD SAYS!”.
