The people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand strong and do exploits.
Dan 11:32b

Miracles happen when there is no other way for something to get a result. All things come from God.

All is based on God.
If you make your soul have no value, make it insignificant, you will go into slavery.
We find other ways than God and then the enemy attacks. In Egypt, God’s people were stolen from and put in slavery.
Until you recognize that it is God Who is in charge, we go in slavery. Give sin no mercy.
We need God’s wisdom, strength, leadership. All the source of life itself is from God.
You do not have free will- by free will you can do everything you desire without repercussions. We need Him all the time.
Don’t let the devil- the enemy -deceive you.

In boot camp, the troops learn how to be a team.
Jesus is Lord of the hosts, in charge of the army.
We all have gone our own way, strayed. We need the Good Shepherd to lead us.
2010- In God we depend.God is in charge. We will come together as a team under Him, His banner.
God is in charge- We are followers.
Life is going to change. In boot camp our life changes. Finding identity in the leadership is not good, unless our leader is God alone. He does not let us down.

--------------------------

Prepare for battle

We have no free will, only a choice to obey or not. Not to obey has serious consequences. If we are serious about our responsibility to the team, obedience is necessary, so our first task is to obey the set of orders. If Jesus is head of the army, He is responsible to accomplish those orders established before the foundation of the earth. Without following orders, court marshall and imprisonment results. There are no excuses. In religion, we make excuses and think we can get away with it. The Lord has prepared us with armor- feet shod with the Gospel of peace.

1. You need a set of orders
2. You must know them and be able to speak them. Know your Commander and what is expected of you.

You need to know God, your Commander in chief, your orders, and your purpose on this earth.
We have lost the fear of God. Fear of God is a good kind of fear. We need to fear the Lord of hosts, the Father of all creation, and follow His plan.
We are a team under the Lord our God and have a purpose. We need to have faith that God knows what He is doing.
In Heb 11, there is a hall of faith of those who have faith in God, not in money.

The people who know their God- Joshua was told, “Know ME”. Our job toward the enemy is to rob, kill, and destroy the gates of hell.
Our boot camp is to make the book of the Law not depart from our mouths, to be in it at all times. We are to meditate therein day and night. Meditation brings faith, peace, confidence that when we face our enemy we will win.

Meditate –
Ex.
MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL MY NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY.
Find the most important word: ALL
Find out who MY GOD is
SHALL SUPPLY
ALL my needs

An example of the results of meditation:
Psa 39:1-3
(1) I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
(2) I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.
(3) My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue,

Jos 1:8-9
(8) This book of the law
(set of orders)shall not depart out of thy mouth (must know them, enough about them to say and speak what those orders are) ; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night (meditate, contemplate) , that thou mayest observe to do according to all (not part, not some) that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (have good success- there are answers, always have solutions)

If you make excuses and say that you don’t have time to study the Word, you will reap what you choose.
God will help if you think the Bible is too large or difficult.
You will have what is necessary to make my way prosperous.
This country was founded on men who believed in God. The moment God was removed, the country went downhill.
We do not have free will. We have choice- “Choose you this day who you will serve. … I set before you blessing and cursing, life and death… choose life. “
With God all things are possible. It is the first instruction Joshua got from God. The prosperity of God is not given to lazy people, but to those who choose to do.

HOMEWORK:
Meditate on verse 8 (Josh 1:8)
The first instruction to prepare for battle is verse 8. God does not want us to fail. He wants us equipped so that we may make our way prosperous and have good success.
Set a goal. Follow the instruction, the orders. You will find God is faithful.

  1. No free will?! Other than the gift of Jesus Christ through salvation, that is the most precious gift He gives us. Jesus even showed that when He watched the rich young ruler turn away. Jesus didn't go after him, wrestle him to the ground and say, "Just let me make it a little clearer; let me tell you one more time." No, he let him go...he had a free will and Jesus respected that. Someone wrote, "He'll let you go to hell if that's what you really want." The Word of God says that we're to love the Lord with all our heart, all our mind (WILL and emotions, since our emotions are merely an indicator of our thoughts)and all our strength. Maybe I'm missing something...will look to God about it.
